I run a large company facing recession; I am trying to reorganise our business and keep shareholders at bay. I am also a non-executive director of a company that is faring still worse. To do my own job requires working every evening and weekend, yet emergency board meetings at the other company are endless. I can't give that my full attention, but now isn't the time to resign. I have legal and moral responsibilities to both businesses, but short of cloning myself I cannot see how I can meet them. What should I do?
