Foreign investor demand for US Treasuries during September was the highest in more than a year, according to official flow data released on Wednesday.
The US Treasury said net foreign purchases of long-term securities was $68.6bn in September after purchases of $58bn in August.
Net purchases of Treasuries, excluding short-term bills was $84.5bn, up from $60.1bn in August, the strongest month of buying since August 2010.
